New VisitScotland research shows that over 70% of visitors will return to Fife in next five years
VisitScotland carried out a comprehensive visitor survey in 2011, Fife upweighted this research to establish Fife specific information.
The research showed the following motivations and experience:
Overall, trips exceed expectations for many visitors – 9 in 10 were satisfied with their trip to Fife.
The majority of visitors will recommend Fife to friends and family. Recommendations were higher amongst UK visitors. 71% stated they would be definitely likely to return in the future.
Friendly service in accommodation, local information and VisitScotland Information Centres all performed particularly well when visitors were asked to rate specific aspects of the trip.
