VisitScotland’s enhanced What's On guide has improved the online experience for customers searching for event information, and has made it easier for event organisers to submit events.

One of the key benefits of the new system is that it can be easily integrated into other VisitScotland websites. This has been done for the Dumfries and Galloway, Edinburgh, and Surprise Yourself websites with the new food and drink site to follow soon.

Customers can now use geomapping and regional searches to identify events in a particular location on a specific date range.

Events organisers are encouraged to submit their events by using a simple form: www.visitscotland.com/guide/see-and-do/events/submit-event.

There is also an opportunity for organisers to have their event included in the Year of Creative Scotland programme subject to criteria being met.
