FIFE has proved a hit with holidaymakers as VisitScotland revealed its most in-depth visitor research. 

The results of the survey showed that 91 per cent of visitors to the Kingdom enjoyed their trip, and 94 per cent would recommend it to others – the best statistics in Scotland.

The survey was conducted in various regions between July and October 2011 with 1882 overnight leisure visitors being surveyed, including 564 visitors to Fife.

Each was asked about their entire visitor experience including activities, eating out, accommodation, planning and connections to Scotland.
